weezie

For this, Eloise chose a portrait of Jane Seymour by Hans Holbein, I assume because of its ornate fabrics and patterns. regardless, this will be used for the postcard publicizing my next show, at Jackson Artworks in March.

Official title is: After Jane Seymour (Holbein) [Dear Eloise]

Litfest

Litfest is a great thing organized by a dedicated author and professor out of Lincoln, Timothy Schaffert. It runs for a week or two in September and bring a much needed jolt of writer presence into Omaha. The people they get are really good and somehow it all happens every year, despite seemingly being a one-man show.

This year I did some posters.

The theme of this year's litfest is: The sordid arts of the American pulp novel.

I am participating in an exhibition based on the work of Jim Thompson, Omaha native and pulp artist.
